Have you ever felt like you've achieved everything you set out to do, only to find yourself craving something more? It's that strange moment when life is good—no, great—but deep down, you know there's another level you haven't reached yet. That’s where I am right now, standing on the peak of my accomplishments, gazing out at the vast landscape of untapped potential. What if I told you that the secret to unlocking that next level lies in something as simple as setting blog goals that align with your life goals? Let me show you how writing can turn your ambitions into reality.

How did We End Up Here?
I've always believed in the power of setting life goals, and it's something I'm passionate about sharing with others. But I've realized that in order to truly pursue these goals, I need to take them more seriously. The best way I can do that? By writing about them and sharing my journey with you. There's something magical about putting thoughts into words—when you write about your goals, it forces you to think deeply about them, to prepare more carefully. And once those words are out there, shared with the world, it’s as if you’ve made a pact with yourself. There’s no turning back. You’re bound to follow through.
Now, don’t get me wrong—my life today is brilliant. If I may say so myself, I've created a life I genuinely love. I spend my days surrounded by loved ones—my wonderful wife and three beautiful kids. We live in a fantastically beautiful setting that feels like it was made just for us. My health is good, even though I’ve had some near-death experiences that still send chills down my spine when I think about them. In winter, I ski some of the best mountains—Chamonix, Courmayeur, Megeve, Contamines. We have a year pass for the Mont Blanc ski system, so I hit the slopes whenever I want. In the warmer months, I play tennis regularly with a trainer and my wife. And let’s not forget the five months I spent sailing around Europe on a catamaran, from Stockholm to Athens. The list of blessings in my life goes on and on…
But here’s the thing—after all of that, after purchasing our dream house, building a family, extending and renovating our home, you’d think I’d feel settled and content. And while I’m incredibly grateful, I find myself wanting more now than ever before. It’s like I’ve been pushing this enormous rock up a mountain for years, and now that I’ve reached the top, I’m gazing out at the other side, seeing a world full of potential and beauty, just waiting for me to explore it.
The Pillars of My Life Goals
1. Prioritizing Health Above All Else
My first and foremost goal is to maintain and enhance my health. There’s a quote I love that says, “A healthy man wants a thousand things, a sick man only wants one.” That resonates deeply with me, especially after a life-threatening accident I experienced. There was a moment when I was convinced I wouldn’t make it—a metal pole had pierced my chest, pushing it out from within like a tent. Writing about it gives me goosebumps even now, and perhaps by sharing it, I’ll continue to heal from that trauma. Health isn’t just about avoiding illness; it’s about thriving, feeling alive, and having the energy to pursue everything else in life.
2. Nurturing Relationships: The Heart of a Fulfilling Life
Next in line are my relationships with my family and friends. My family life is great—I spend 100% of my time with my wife and kids, and I challenge any father to convince me they spend more time with their children than I do. However, when it comes to friendships, I’ve found myself less successful. I could easily blame it on circumstances—living in a country where I don’t speak the language fluently, moving abroad multiple times for education and work—but deep down, I know there’s something more. There’s a gap in my friendships that I need to understand and bridge. Relationships are vital, not just with family but with friends who add richness and perspective to our lives.
3. Achieving Life Freedom: Time, Location, and Financial Independence
Now, here’s where it gets tricky—the three goals that, when combined, enable the first two. I’m talking about life freedom in its core dimensions: time, location, and financial independence. I believe that without freedom in these areas, it’s difficult to truly achieve the health and relationships we desire. Time freedom allows you to invest in your well-being and relationships. Location freedom lets you live where your heart feels most at home, and financial freedom gives you the resources to make it all possible. These are the goals that drive me, that are deeply engraved into who I am. I’ll be writing a lot about these because they’re key to living a happy, successful life.
